Learning Center Cook

Statement of Purpose:
In 36-40 hours per week the Cook is to plan, prepare, and serve breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack for 75-90 children. Some very basic cooking skills, computer skill, & record keeping required. 

Responsibilities:
1) Plan a weekly menu that is CACFP compliant. 
2) Shop for weekly menu items (Evco, Sam’s Club/Wal-mart, and Price Chopper.) 
3) Prepare food. 
4) Record monthly menu items for the food program. 
5) Update allergy restrictions, and serve food accordingly. 
6) Maintain a clean kitchen. 
7) To perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:
**It’s a plus if you already have some of these trainings. We will train the successful applicant.
1) Valid driver's license 
2) CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse and Neglect, Child Development, Signs & Symptoms of Childhood Illness. 
3) Self-motivated, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. 
4) An understanding of the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) 
5) Must complete 12 hours of in-service training annually.
