When Chip Garrison walked through the doors of College Church for the first time as a teenager, he had no idea the impact that God would make in his life. He had grown up in a broken family that knew nothing about God or church, but he knew he had a void in his life. Chip was invited to a Christian concert by a friend, and he came to faith that night.
Soon after, he decided to ride his bike 6 blocks to College Church on a Sunday morning and walked through the doors. He arrived so early to church that he was the only one in the Worship Center. The Youth Pastor at that time, Don Diehl, saw Chip, introduced himself, and showed him where the teenagers sat on Sunday mornings.
From that time on, Chip got more and more involved in the life of the church. Chip attended a revival at College Church and felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to go to the altar and surrender his life to Christ. Following the service, the Junior High Pastor, gave Chip a Bible. As his relationship with Christ continued to grow, he received a call to ministry. While he was pursuing a ministry degree at MidAmerica Nazarene University, Chip met his future wife, Kim. Chip is now the Lead Pastor of Engage Church of the Nazarene in Mandan, North Dakota.
We are grateful for all who have walked through the doors of College Church over the years and started a relationship with Jesus. We are committed to pointing all who enter our building to Jesus.
