Be Mercy is more than a initiative  – it’s a calling.Rooted in Jesus’ words, “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful” (Luke 6:36), Be Mercy is a simple, powerful invitation for every person at College Church to live out the heart of God in tangible ways. This isn’t just something we believe—it’s something we become.

What is Be Mercy?Be Mercy is how we step into God’s mission together through two clear actions:We Give.We give generously because God has been generous with us. Every gift—big or small—meets real needs and multiplies impact in ways we may never fully see.We Go.We go intentionally, stepping into real places with real people to share the love of Jesus through presence, service, and relationship.

Serve Day Opportunities

Two Lines Pregnancy - Walk for Life

May 30, 2026 | This 2-mile fundraising event supports women and families facing unplanned pregnancies. There are two opportunities to serve! Two Lines is in need of help managing the kids bounce house. You can also sign-up with the College Church team to walk and show our support to one of our partners!

Life Journey Serve Day

August 1, 2026 | Life Journey empowers people to escape cycles of poverty and homelessness. Join us as we complete landscaping at one of their new homes - part of their Stability Housing Program.

Shelter KC Serve Day

August 10-11, 2026 | Shelter KC shelters, clothes, feeds and cares for the homeless and hurting with the love of Christ. We'll be assembling the StepUp bed systems, including towers, bed units, lockers, and other components. The work involves lifting large wooden panels (30+ pounds) and using basic power tools, so this opportunity is best suited for individuals who are comfortable with hands-on construction or furniture assembly.

Mission Southside Serve Day

August 29, 2026 | Mission Southside is dedicated to serving Johnson County residents experiencing poverty, homelessness, or food insecurity. Join us as we work on projects around their building.

Heart to Heart Hygiene Packing Event

September 19, 2026 | Hygiene kits provide essential items that help prevent illness and support overall health, especially in challenging conditions. While simple, they make a meaningful impact by promoting well-being and offering hope to those in need. Join us as we pack kits to bless others!
